Matt and John love to create stories. After an attack by bullies that leaves John n a comatose state, Matt becomes convinced that the stories they created together can save him. He sits by the hospital bed and weaves tales that will save John, hopefully.
Meanwhile, in the world of Creativity, unexpected changes cause chaos. The personified character archetypes that inhabit the land must find the source before everything they know is lost. Known as the Aspects, these beings discover that the First Story has been stolen and they must stop whoever took it from destroying Creativity.
The First Story is a novel about the creative impulse that drives artists. The stories that Matt and John create live in another realm connected but separate from our own.
